Welcome to our new database of MENA and Islamic studies expertise and MENA/UK academic linkages.
The aims of the database are:
- to provide a comprehensive source of information on research related to Middle Eastern and North African studies worldwide;
- similarly for Islamic studies; and
- to itemise and detail research links between universities in the UK (initially but hopefully more widely in due course) on the one hand and in the MENA region on the other in all disciplines, be they MENA/Islam-related or not.
We and our co-sponsors believe that the database will provide an invaluable source of expertise not only to academics worldwide but to everyone with an active interest in the Middle East, North Africa and Islam. In so saying, we would stress that we see it as a 'living' entity, ie regularly updated to provide its users with up-to-the-minute information on relevant research worldwide.
