Welcome to our new database of MENA and Islamic studies expertise and MENA/UK academic linkages.
The aims of the database are:
We and our co-sponsors believe that the database will provide an invaluable source of expertise not only to academics worldwide but to everyone with an active interest in the Middle East, North Africa and Islam. In so saying, we would stress that we see it as a 'living' entity, ie regularly updated to provide its users with up-to-the-minute information on relevant research worldwide.
As you will see, in the very short period since its launch we have already made a good start assembling relevant data. However, the success of the database ultimately depends on you, our current and potential users.
So please use the on-line submission form to submit relevant details of your personal research and/or your institution's research links if you have been approached directly by us to do so.
As you know, publicising your research/institution brings many benefits potentially. So, the more information we have the better. Please choose as many disciplines and countries as appropriate and add as much information as relevant and possible about your specific research projects and interests. Similarly, if you are making a submission on behalf of an institution, please provide as much detail as possible.
Thank you for your engagement. With your help the database will be a significant and lasting success.
