Elsa Tulin Sen

Elsa Tulin Sen is a Teaching Fellow in Middle East Studies at King's College London. 

She holds a BA in Philosophy and Sociology and an MA in Applied Sociology in which she researched the sociology of organisation using the example of a municipal department, from Sorbonne University (Paris IV). Whilst conducting her Masters, she was selected for a study abroad exchange with Boston College where she wrote on the integration patterns of immigrants from Turkey.

She has held lecturing positions at the IESEG School of Management in Work Sociology and General Culture, and at Sorbonne University in English Sociology. She has also worked with the Delegation for Public Policy and Integration within the Paris Municipality.

Elsa has earned her PhD from the Department of Middle Eastern Studies at King's College London. Nominated for the Graduate School's Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Prize, her research examined the past and present-day dynamics of the Kurdish movement in Turkey from a social movement perspective.
