Biography
I am a PhD researcher at the University of Edinburgh, in the final months of submission. My PhD research explores the different manifestations of 'Kurdishness' in Turkey.
Research description
My broader research interests are ethnicity and nationalism and more specifically, how ethnicities are manifested in nation-states. I am also interested in linguistic nationalism; that is, how language has an impact on the manifestation of ethnicities and the role of language for the nation-state building. For my post-doctoral research, I am interested in Diaspora Kurds.
