Sabiha Allouche (University of Exeter)
Sabiha Allouche is Lecturer in Middle East Studies at the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies (IAIS) at the University of Exeter. She specializes in the study of gender and sexuality in relation to the Middle East and its diasporas and prioritizes postcolonial and transnational approaches in her work. She obtained her PhD in Gender Studies from SOAS (2018). She sits on the editorial board of Kohl: A Journal for Body and Gender Research, and Feminist Encounters: A Journal of Critical Studies in Culture and Politics and is the current Athena Swan Officer for IAIS. She has been published in JMEWS (Journal of Middle East Women’s Studies), IJMES (International Journal of Middle East Studies), MEC (Middle East Critique), and WSQ (Women’s Studies Quarterly).
