Cailin Kwoh

Cailin completed her MA in Middle Eastern Studies at Lund University in Sweden in 2021, focusing on Palestinian identity as expressed through materiality in the Nordic states. Prior to her MA, she conducted her BA in Art and Design in Wales. As part of her BA degree, she worked on social media accounts and organizing an effective online presence. She also has previous experience coordinating and managing websites and media outlets through her activist work with refugee organizations. Through this work, asylum seekers from the MENA region awaiting a decision on their asylum status were able to access better recourses to learn English in the UK and bursaries for higher education.  This process was conducted through team work, management, and facilitating awareness of the issues that asylum seekers face in the UK by disseminating information using social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
